One Grace

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But to each one of us Grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.(Eph 4:4-7)

Because of one Grace given to us in Christ Jesus, in Him we have been enriched in every way-in all our speaking and in knowledge. Therefore we do not lack any spiritual gift as we eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will keep us strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God, who has called us into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful. (1Co 1:4-9) Hear Him!

I stand at the door and knock

You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. (Rev 3:17-18)

He who comes to God must believe that He is the Christ, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Heb 11:6) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. (Rev 3:19-20) Lest we forget for without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). Hear Him!

Mature in Christ

Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ. (Eph 4:13-15)

Behold onto Jesus and submit all to Him and we shall be transformed into the same image from glory to glory as the Lord by the Spirit. Hear Him!

The Spirit of God

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Mat 3:16-17)

We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1Co 2:12-14) Are your spirit of God or of man? Hear Him!

The wisdom of God

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isa 55:8-9)

We speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"—but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. (1Co 2:7-10) Is your wisdom of God or of the world? Hear Him!

Where is the wise man?

Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. (1Co 1:20-21)

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; He chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the things of this world that are common and looked down on. He chose what is not considered to be important to do away with what is considered to be important. So that no one may boast before Him. (1Co 1:27-29) Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise. (1Co 3:18) Humble yourself, lest Christ becomes a stumbling block to you. Hear Him!

The wise and the fool

For all can see that wise men die; the foolish and the senseless alike perish and leave their wealth to others. Their tombs will remain their houses forever, their dwellings for endless generations, though they had named lands after themselves. But man, despite his riches, does not endure; he is like the beasts that perish. This is the fate of those who trust in themselves, and of their followers, who approve their sayings. (Psa 49:10-13)

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1Co 1:18) For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. (1Co 1:25) Wise or fool, which are you? And to man or to God? Hear Him!

The mystery revealed

Apostle Paul: "Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith—to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen. (Rom 16:25-27)

Having made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. (Eph 1:9-10) In Christ is the mystery revealed. Hear Him!

Every knee should bow

"... Have not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me. "Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath." (Isa 45:21-23)

It is written: 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, "every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.' (Rom 14:11) Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Php 2:9-11) Hear Him!

The divine exchange

"Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed." (Isa 53:4-5)

Christ's divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. (2Pe 1:3-4) He himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His stripes you were healed. (1Pe 2:24) Hear Him!

One sacrifice forever

"I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Rom 12:1-2)

This is the holy, pleasing and perfect will of God... By one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. (Heb 10:14) For Christ has fulfilled the requirements of the laws and became that one sacrifice for us. Through Him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Therefore let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess His name. (Heb 13:15) Hear Him!

Natural and wild branches

Jesus said: "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you." (John 15:5-7)

If some of the branches (Israelites) have been broken off, and you (Gentiles), though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be grateful. (Rom 11:17-20) Remain in Him! Hear Him!

By grace or by works

Moses summoned all the Israelites and said to them: Your eyes have seen all that the LORD did in Egypt to Pharaoh, to all his officials and to all his land. With your own eyes you saw those great trials, those miraculous signs and great wonders. But to this day the LORD has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear. (Deut 29:2-4)

Has God cast away His people? Certainly not! Some are also faithful today being chosen by grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace. As it is written: "God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes so that they could not see and ears so that they could not hear, to this very day." (Rom 11:1-8) Are you by the Grace of Christ or by the works of the law? Hear Him!

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.'" (Luk 13:34-35)

Jesus came to His own and His own received Him not. (Joh 1:11) Did they not hear? Of course they did: "Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world." Again: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says, "I will make you envious by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding." And Isaiah boldly says, "I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me." (Rom 10:18-20) Because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. (Rom 11:11) People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last."(Luk 13:29-30) Are you the last or the first or none? Hear Him!

Stumble over the stone

Isaiah cries out concerning Israel. He says, "The number of people from Israel may be like the sand by the sea. But only a few of them will be saved. The Lord will carry out his sentence. He will be quick to carry it out on earth, once and for all." (Rom 9:27-28, Isaiah 10:22-23)

If not for the seed that the Lord had left us, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah. But by the seed, the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone." (Rom 9:29-32) You can only be saved by faith (Christ), not by works (the law). Do not harden your heart toward God, lest you shall stumble over the stone. Hear Him!

Spirit vs Flesh

Apostle Paul: I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. (Rom 7:15-20)

The word Christian means "little christ". A Christian life is an exchanged life with Christ in us, not we trying to change ourselves to match up the expectation. If we do that, we'll be like what Paul said because there is no good thing dwell in our flesh which is our sin nature. And since we are dead to sin and alive in Christ, (Rom 6:11) therefore we live by renewing our mind in the Spirit and we shall be transformed. Hear Him!

No more condemnation

Therefore, as through one man's sin judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteousness, Grace came to all men, resulting in justification of life. (Rom 5:18)

"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (Joh 3:18) Christ died for us while we were still sinners. (Rom 5:8) We who believed in Him, died and raised with Him (Rom 6:4) and now regard not according to the flesh but to the Spirit. (2Co 5:16) Therefore sin has no dominion over us for we are not of the flesh but of the Spirit. (Rom 6:14) Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Rom 8:1) Hear Him!

Life and death, blessing and cursing

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live" (Deut 30:19)

If the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones (the law), was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit (Christ) not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation (the law) had glory, the ministry of righteousness (Christ) exceeds much more in glory. (2Co 3:7-9) Life or death, blessing or cursing? The choice is your but God suggested "choose life". Only by His seed, which is Christ, (Gal 3:16) is life. Hear Him!

See what God sees

God said to Abraham, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you." (Gen 22:2)

For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise. (Gal 4:22-23) These things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from bondwoman gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar, Mount Sinai, Old Covenant, the law. But the one from freewoman is free, which is Sarah, Mount Zion, New Covenant, Jesus Christ. If Abraham had two sons then why God said "your only son Isaac"? Because God does not consider the flesh but only the promise. If God only look at the promise which is Jesus Christ, why are we still looking at the other one? Hear Him!

Are you Law's or Grace's?

Jesus said: "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. (Rev 3:15-16)

Since the fall of Adam, man is bound by the law. But now if we are in Christ, we are dead to the law through the body of Christ, that we may be married to another-to Christ who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. (Rom 7:4) Now that we are married to Grace, we don't go back to the law. If we do, we become an adulteress. Are you Mr. Law's or Mr. Grace's? Are you of the old covenant or the new covenant? Are you cold or hot? You can only choose one but not both. Hear Him!

Are you slave or son?

To Adam He said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life." (Gen 3:17)

But God has fulfilled for us, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: 'You are my Son; today I have become your Father.' (Act 13:33) He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. (Gal 3:14) Before the cross, we were all slaves under the law. But after the cross we have become the sons of God in Christ. Hear Him!

He that found Grace

Moses asked, "For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth." So the LORD said to Moses, "I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name." (Exo 33:16-17)

Then He said, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." It does not depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. (Rom 9:15-16) He that found Grace (Christ Jesus) found His mercy, and His compassion. His glory shall be revealed in His goodness to pass before him... (Exo 33:19) Only in Christ we shall see God's glory in us. Hear Him!

There is no other

"Has any god ever tried to take for himself one nation out of another nation, by testings, by miraculous signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, or by great and awesome deeds, like all the things the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes? You were shown these things so that you might know that the LORD is God; besides him there is no other." (Deut 4:34-45)

"Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the LORD; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation." (Isa 25:9) God wants us to know and remember that He is the Lord, our God. God is faithful and we were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (1Co 1:9) Hear Him!

Abba, Father!

"Therefore say to the children of Israel: 'I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians." (Exo 6:6-7)

When the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"(Gal 4:4-6) He did not just delivery us out from the bondage of slavery, He made us His sons, the heirs of God through Christ! What more to ask? Hear Him!

We are almost there

And it shall be on the sixth day that they shall prepare what they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily." Then Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, "At evening you shall know that the LORD has brought you out of the land of Egypt. And in the morning you shall see the glory of the LORD..." (Exo 16:5-7)

Do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2Pe 3:8) Two thousand years passed from Adam to Abraham, two thousand from Abraham to the first coming of Christ and another two thousand from then till now. Now that we are in the sixth day... we shall gather twice as much and be ready to be brought out of the land of bondage (the real exodus) and we shall see the glory of the Lord (the second coming of Christ) by the morning on seventh day. God saw everything was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Gen 1:31) Be of good courage. It is a good news for God has reconcile all things to Himself through the blood of His cross. (Col 1:20) Hear Him!

Our living bread everyday

"Then the LORD said to Moses, "Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not." (Exo 16:4)

Jesus said: I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world." (Joh 6:51) Our Father loves us so much that He gave us the living bread from heaven that all our needs are met everyday. Trust Him and do not worry about tomorrow for He shall provide. Beholding Jesus - the living bread of heaven and Hear Him!

On this journey

"And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people." (Exo 13:21-22)

On this journey, we are surrounded by a great cloud (His presence) of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. (Heb 12:1) He is always with us, for He said "I will never leave you nor forsake you". (Heb 13:5) Let us looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. (Heb 12:2) Hear Him!

You shall be a blessing

"Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing." (Gen 12:1-2)

May the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power. (Eph 1:18-19) You are called into a journey that He will show you, He will enrich you, He will bless you and make you name great for His glory; And you shall be a blessing. Hear Him!

Those are of faith are blessed

Just as Abraham "BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS ACCOUNTED TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS." Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed." (Gal 3:6-8)

The law came 430 years after God's covenant and promise to Abraham. The covenant had already been made by God. So the law does not do away with the promise. (Gal 3:17) So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. (Gal 3:9) Hear Him!

Abraham's seed

"For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." (Rom 8:13-15)

If we are His children, then we are His heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. (Rom 8:17) And if we are Christ's, then we are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Gal 3:29) Let's continue to live by the Spirit and see the manifestation of the promise on earth. Hear Him!

The heir of the world

"For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith." (Rom 4:13)

Do those who live by the law receive the promise? If they do, faith would have no value. God's promise would be worthless. The law brings God's anger. Where there is no law, there is no sin. The promise is based on God's grace. The promise comes by faith. All of Abraham's seed will certainly receive the promise... (Rom 4:14-16) Are you of faith or of the law? Are you the son of the promise or the son of the flesh? Are you Isaac or Ishmael? Are you living by the tree of life or by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Do not harden your heart and the Lord will show you. Hear Him!

The blessing of Abraham

"And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever." (Gen 13:14-15)

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. (Gal 3:16) Now Christ is the seed of Abraham and if we are in Christ we are also the seed of Abraham. Thus we shall inherit the blessing. But the LORD only revealed the blessing after Lot departed. the name Lot also means "veil" in Hebrews which is "the law". Therefore the law must be departed from us to see Grace, the blessing of Abraham in us. Hear Him!

Feed on the word

"And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God" (Mat 4:3-4)

Jesus was hungry after fasted forty days and forty nights, the devil used the "lust of the flesh" to tempt Jesus into making the stones (the law) into bread (food). The devil knows if man lives by the flesh (back to the law), we eat from the wrong tree (the tree of the knowledge of good and evil). But Jesus answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word (the tree of life) that proceeded out of the mouth of God. Believe in Him and feed on His word. Hear Him!

Walk in the Spirit

"For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world." (1Jn 2:16)

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. (Gen 3:6) These are the only three areas of temptation the devil used. If we try to overcome them by our effort (self righteousness), we will fail because our self righteousness is from the wrong tree. The only way is set our mind unto Jesus (the tree of life) and walk in the Spirit, and we shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Gal 5:16) Hear Him!

Thursday, November 27, 2008

The two trees

"And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." (Gen 2:9)

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." (Gen 2:16-17) What is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? It is the law. By the law is the knowledge sin (Rom 3:20) and the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom 6:23). The gift is the tree of life. Don't be like Adam and Eve eating from the wrong tree. Only the tree of life shall give us life and life more abundantly. Hear Him!

The purpose of the law

"What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come." (Gal 3:19)

The Seed is the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ. God knows that we cannot save ourselves and so He gave us His beloved Son. But because of our pride, He gave us the law so that we can come to our senses that we need a Savior. Now that the Savior has come and we, who have accepted Him, do not need the law anymore. Live a life by the Spirit we shall overcome the flesh. Hear Him!

The curse of the law

All who rely on observing the law are under the curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." (Gal 3:10)

But Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." (Gal 3:13) Why go back to the law and be under the curse again? Since Christ had redeemed us from the cures and had fulfilled the law for us. (Mat 5:17) Christ had accomplished everything on the cross for us when He said, "It is finished!"(Joh 19:30) There is nothing more for us to do now except to believe in Him and live a life through Him. Hear Him!

The righteous shall live by faith

"Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin." (Rom 3:19-20)

The law is not of faith and no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous shall live by faith." (Gal 3:11-12) Only in Christ we find righteousness. Only by His Grace we are saved through faith. Hear Him!

Christ is the end of the law

Apostle Paul: "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the Grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain." (Gal 2:20-21)

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. (Rom 10:4) Lets not be like the foolish Galatians, having begun in the Spirit and now go back to the law. If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (Gal 5:18) Behold unto Jesus and let Him leads us by the Spirit. Hear Him!

Take away the stone

For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. (Rom 8:3-4)

Jesus said, "Take away the stone" and with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!" and he who had died came out... (John 11:39-44) Only after the stone (the law) is removed then we see the glory of God manifested. Only by Grace we are saved through faith. Hear Him!

The power in your tongue

Jesus said: "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Mat 16:19)

For the Grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. (Tit 2:11-12) Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you. (Tit 2:15) Death and life are in the power of the tongue. (Pro 18:21) Use it well. Hear Him!

The righteousness of God in Christ

"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2Co 5:21)

To this very day, when the Law of Moses is preached, a veil covers the minds of those who hear it. (2Co 3:15) But we who embrace Grace, the veil is removed to display the glory of God. We are being transformed into the same image of God from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord. (2Co 3:18) Only by His Grace we become the righteousness of God in Christ and transformed into His image. Not by works that anyone can boast. Hear Him!

Ministry of reconciliation

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us..." (2Co 5:17-20)

Apostle Paul: "Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is preached to you. Through Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses." (Acts 13:38-39) In Christ we are His ambassadors and through Him we preach the gospel of Grace. Hear Him!

The ultimate gift

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Rom 6:23)

For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. (Rom 5:17) Christ is our ultimate gift, the inheritance to us to live a life in great abundance on earth as it is in heaven. Behold Jesus and through Him we live that ultimate gift. Hear Him!

Covenant of Grace

"Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." (Rom 6:3-4)

The new covenant, the covenant of Grace has been fulfilled on the cross when Christ died, buried and resurrected. And now by Him and through Him we shall walk in this newness of life, a life of abundance, a life in His fullness. Behold Jesus and hear Him!

God is good, all the time

"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord ; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord !" (Psa 27:13-14)

Trust in the Lord and do not lost heart and surely His goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life. (Psa 23:6) Behold upon Jesus and let our light so shine before men, that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. (Mat 5:16) If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom 8:31) Hear Him!

We are a new creation

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2Co 5:17)

We must no longer live like those of the world. Their thoughts don't have any purpose. They can't understand the truth. They are separated from the life of God... (Eph 4:17-18) But we who are in Christ have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to His image (Col 3:10) and though we are in the world, we do not battle the way of the world. (2Co 10:3) But we are born of God has won the battle over the world. Our faith has won the battle for us. (1Jn 5:4) Hear Him!

The word is made sweet in Christ

Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people complained against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?" So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet... (Exo 15:23-25)

Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word... (Eph 5:25-26) Water is referred to the word of God and the tree is a picture of the Cross and Marah indicates times of difficulty. Only in Christ and His finished work at the Cross, the word is made sweet. Hear Him!

In remembrance of Me

... when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me." In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." (1Co 11:24-25)

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, (2Pe 1:2-3) Let us always remind ourselves of Christ and His finished work on the cross to establish ourselves in truth and live a life of abundance. Hear Him!

Set our hearts to seek God

As has just been said: "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion." (Heb 3:15)

One thing David (a man after God's own heart) desired of the LORD and seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. (Psa 27:4) On the other hand King Rehoboam did evil, because he did not prepare his heart to seek the LORD. (2Ch 12:14) Set our hearts to seek Him everyday is the first step to keep us in victory. Remember the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy...(Joh 10:10) Seek and hear Him!

My sheep hear My voice

"O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps." (Jer 10:23)

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose on earth. (Eccl 3:1) Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. (Psa 127:1) We can plan all we want but the answer is in God. (Pro 16:1) My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. (John 10:27) Stand still, wait and hear Him!

As He is, so are we in this world

"And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him... as He is, so are we in this world." (1Jn 4:16-17)

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. (Rom 8:5) For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. (Prov 23:7) Now that we are in Christ, we are of the Spirit. We are to set our mind on the Spirit and not the flesh. Behold Jesus and His love for us to see the "as He is, so are we in this world" manifested. Hear Him!

His way, His rest

"That is why I was angry with that generation, and I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.' So I declared on oath in my anger, "They shall never enter my rest.'" (Heb 3:10-11)

In the old covenant, God's ways were to do what is right by keeping His statutes and commandments (the law). (1Ki 11:38) Now in the new covenant, Christ has fulfilled the law (Mat 5:17) and Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. (Rom 10:4) and He said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (Joh 14:6) Now therefore Christ is the way, the only way for us to enter into His rest. Hear Him!

God is Spirit

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:24)

To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of His righteousness. (Rom 8:6-10) Therefore come and draw near to God by worship Him in Spirit (in tongue) and in Truth (in Christ) and live a life of abundance. Hear Him!

By pride comes nothing but strife

"By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom." (Prov 13:10)

Are we cheerful because we belong to Christ? Does His love comfort us? Is the Holy Spirit our companion? Has Christ been gentle and loving toward us? We shouldn't do anything only to get ahead. Shouldn't do it because we are proud. Instead, be free of pride. Think of others as better than ourselves. We should think in the same way Christ did. In His very nature He was God. But He did not think that being equal with God. Instead, he made himself nothing. He took on the very nature of a servant. He was made in human form. He appeared as a man. He came down to the lowest level. He obeyed God completely, even it led to his death on the cross. (Php 2:1-8) All these... we can never do in our own strength but only through Him we give up our pride. Hear Him!

Forgiven much, loves much

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." ... (Luk 23:34)

God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Rom 5:8). Let us be kind and tender to one another. Forgive each other, just as God forgave us because of what Christ has done (Eph 4:32). He who knew he was forgiven much, loves much (Luk 7:47). Hear Him!

Abide in His love

"And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him." (1Jn 4:16)

God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom He has given us (Rom 5:5) and we continue to keep ourselves in His love (Jud 1:21) and from the overflow of His love, we love one another as He has loved us. By this all will know that we are His disciples (Joh 13:34-35). By this we are empowered make disciples of all the nations (Mat 28:19). Hear Him!

The greatest is love

"And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." (1Co 13:13)

An expert in the law asked Jesus: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?". Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is Love your neighbor as yourself." (Mat 22:35-39). Not that we love but that He loves. Hear Him!

Knowing Christ

"to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." (Eph 3:19)

The world knows that Jesus loves but that's not it. Knowing Christ is to know His passionate love for us through the Spirit. That we're being rooted and grounded with the width and length and depth and height of His love which passes our knowledge that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Let us offer our heart felt praises and worship Him to establish ourselves in His passionate love. Hear Him!

The Revelation Life

"To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." (Col 1:27)

A life of revelation with Christ is the mystery revealed to us by Paul. A life in its fullness in glory through the Grace of Christ. In this end-time the Lord has predestined the Church to live this life. Knowing His Grace (His love) for you is the key to this mystery. Now we know why the book of Revelation is the last book in the Bible and only through John (the disciple whom knew of Jesus' love for him) is being revealed unto us. Hear Him!

Love not the world

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." (1Jn 2:15-16)

The world is from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Therefore if any man love the world, the love of the Father which is Jesus Christ, which is the tree of life is not in him. Set our eyes upon Jesus and walk in the Spirit, and we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Gal 5:16). Do not try to overcome the lust of the flesh by our own strength but abide in Jesus for He is the vine in us and without Him we can do nothing (Joh 15:5). Hear Him!

I am the Alpha and the Omega

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." (Rev 1:8)

The world may be in turmoil now or whatever crisis that we may be facing... but Christ is the Alpha and the Omega. He has the final word. Be of good cheer! He has overcome the world (John 16:33). Hear Him!

Saturday, November 1, 2008

Believe also in Me

"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me." (John 14:1)

Ever wonder why Jesus said "believe also in Me"? Because many believed in God but not in Him. For He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Do not be like the scribes and the Pharisees. Hear Him!

I am what I am

"But by the grace of God I am what I am" (1Co 15:10)

The apostle Paul considered himself the least of the apostles who was not worthy to be called one because he persecuted the church of God. Yet our Lord mightily uses him. Many of us feel the same thinking that we are nobody and unworthy to be used by God. But by the Grace of God, we are a new creation. Now we are in Christ... that's what we are. We must let go our old selves and let Grace takes over our new life. Then God can use us. The end of man is the beginning of Christ! Hear Him!

God is love

"And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing." (1Co 13:3)

We all are called on this journey to be witnesses of Christ (Acts 1:8), to make disciples of all the nations (Mat 28:19). Many felt that burden but it shouldn't be because His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Mat 11:30). On this journey as we walk with Him, we are becoming more like Him each day (2Co 3:18) and through His love we become His witnesses of Love to the world to make disciples. Hear Him!

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

The Word is God

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Mat 6:33)

This is indeed one of the most important verse in the Word of God. What then is the kingdom of God and His righteousness? The kingdom is in Him in the Word... in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). His righteousness is within us as we are in Christ (believers). Always seek Him through His Word and hear Him by revelation!

Act in Faith

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God," (Eph 2:8)

If we are saved by Grace alone then the whole world is saved. No, faith has a role too. One needs to believe for it to work. Likewise our prayers have been answered by Grace whenever we prayed but we need to act in faith to see the manifestation. If you pray for healing then act healed. If you pray for financial blessing then act rich. Hear Him!

Store up our treasure in heaven

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Mat 6:21)

Jesus said "... whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Mat 16:19). Be wise with our worldly wealth and sow them unto the Kingdom of God. Hear Him!

Giving by the act of Love

"Give, and it shall be given unto you..." (Luk 6:38)

Giving is the way to prosperity but by love not selfishness. If we give because we want more for ourselves (tree of knowledge of good and evil) then we give in vain. If we give because of love or compassion (tree of life) then it will return many folds. Say "Lord, I give and more shall be given back for me to give again." Hear Him!

Friday, October 24, 2008

Enter into His rest!

"For we who have believed do enter that rest..." (Heb 4:3)

What have we believed? We believed in the finished work of Jesus Christ and there is nothing left for God or us to do anymore. What is that rest? It is His rest. His promised land for us that everything is provided by Grace. We must believe and rest in His promised land and don't be like the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness forty years not able to enter the promised land (Num 32:13) because of unbelief.

God is our provider

"... and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much." (Luk 16:10)

One can not serve two masters. If we can't give money... money is still our master. No matter how little we have, we must not be unjust to God. Give and it shall be given unto you... (Luk 6:38)

We tithed because we love Him

"He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much..." (Luk 16:10)

The tithe is among the least and if we ain't faithful with it how then would much be? Because He loves us and blessed us with all that we have, and we tithe and say "Thank You Father for loving us and we love you too."

Thursday, October 23, 2008

According to your faith

"... According to your faith be it unto you." (Mat 9:29)

We have the faith of Christ in us and Jesus spoke all miracles to pass. So we too speak our blessing and Jesus will bring them to pass. Do not look at our own faith but Jesus' faith because we are In Christ. "... as He is, so are we in this world." (1 Jn 4:17)

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

Faith comes by hearing

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." (Rom 10:17 NIV)

If God has given us the measure of faith (Rom 12:3) then many might ask why are we still not able to operate in it? Keep on hearing the word and meditate on it day and night and He that is in us shall operate in it for us for He is the word (John 1:1). Hear Him!

Without faith it is impossible to please God

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Heb 11:6)

God has given us the measure of faith (Rom 12:3). By Grace we are saved through the measure of faith (Eph 2:8). By Grace He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing (Eph 1:3) through the measure of faith. By that measure of faith and we believe that He is Christ and He is our rewarder because we diligently seek Him. So God is please with us because we believe in Him (the measure of faith). Hear Him!

Tuesday, October 21, 2008

Now hope does not disappoint

"Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Rom 5:5)

Whatever you are hoping for, never never give up. It will come to pass because His word never fail. Hang on to your faith (the measure of faith) for that delights God. Keep your eyes on Him and Wait on Him!

Monday, October 20, 2008

Wait on the LORD

"Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!" (Psa 27:14)

Many a time we asked and we wait, wait and waited. I know it is hard but that we needed to move us to the next level of faith. Be patient and courage for He is seldom early but He is never late. Wait on Him!

All that I have is yours

"And he said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours." (Luk 15:31)
"... For the world is Mine, and all its fullness." (Psa 50:12)

Beloved, be bold and ask Him for all that you want but also remember all that you have is His. Including you! Hear Him!

Give I unto you

'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.' (John 14:27)

Jesus did not just leave His peace with us, He has given Himself to us. Why worry any more? Rest in Him for He has taken care of everything. Hear Him!

We know all things

"But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you." (John 14:26)

We are not of the world (John 15:19), we have the Holy Spirit living in us and we know all things. Hear Him!

Give thanks to God

"... and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them..."(Mar 16:18)

The world worries of what they eat or drink contains poison, but we the righteousness of Christ do not. Give thanks to God and it shall be sanctified.

God will provide

Isaac asked the father "The fire and wood are here, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" Abraham answered "God will provide..." (Gen 22:7-8)

Abraham believed and it was done. Therefore we must also believe... that God has provided. Just thanks Him. Our God is truly a good God!

His righteousness, not yours

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." (Mat 5:6)

Jesus said "It is finished." (John 19:30) that He had done it all for us and no more to add to it. For those who are hunger and thirst for Him (His righteousness) will be filled. Not our righteousness, not our do and don't and not our effort on keeping the law. If man can do it, Jesus died in vain. Behold His righteousness and we'll be filled. Hear Him!

Feed my sheep

Three times Jesus asked Peter "Do you truly love me?" Peter answered "Yes Lord" then Jesus said "Feed my sheep" (John 21:15)

Only if we truly know His love for us, then we can truly love others. It isn't all about us. It is all about Him! Behold Jesus and His love will flow in us to love others. Hear Him!

Grace - the keys of the kingdom of heaven

Jesus asked "Who do you say I am?" and Peter answered "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." And Jesus said "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven..." (Mat 16:15-19)

Blessed are we for the Father in heaven has revealed Christ (Grace) to us, the keys of the kingdom of heaven. For by Grace we are saved through faith... (Eph 2:8). Hear Him!

The Tree of Life

"He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it." (Mat 10:39)

The more Christ conscious (the tree of life) we are, the less self conscious (the tree of knowledge of good and evil) we become. Give up your life for Him and you'll find your true life, a life of great abundance.

This is how we know what love is

"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers." (1 Jn 3:16)

God is love (1Jn 4:8) and only if we know how much He loves us, it is hard for us to love others. Set our eyes on Jesus and His love will flow through us to love others. The more Christ conscious we are, the less self conscious we become. Hear Him!

For God so loved the world

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son..." (John 3:16)

He gave His life for us, are we willing to give ours? We won't be able to give up our life for Him until we know His love for us (1Jn 3:16). Let us behold Jesus and His love and He will transform us to give our life for Him. Hear Him!

He who have ears, let him hear

Jesus said "He who have ears, let him hear" (Mat 11:15)

Jesus loves us and wants to lead us on this journey everyday. Unless we are willing to follow what we hear, we will not hear Him. Be willing and you will hear Him!

Our salvation is sealed

"... after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise," (Eph 1:13).

The Holy Spirit is our guarantee of our salvation. No one can ever take it away from us. Hear Him!

The church that the gates of hell shall not prevail against

"... and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Mat 16:18).

Peter being the only one who knew and spoke... He is the Christ, the Son of the living God. So are we who embraced Grace. We are His church that the gates of hell shall not prevail against. Behold Jesus and we shall be so full of Him that the devil can't even come near. Hear Him!
