Are you sin conscious or Christ conscious?

If our sin is already forgiven on the cross... why then we still feel the pain, see the lack? Where do we miss it?
Friday at 1:58am · · ·
    • Denise MacRae it is our own condemnation that the world teaches that we must overcome sin ourselves. But God says he has overcome it for us. Rest in him and no longer feel pain or lack.

    • Denise MacRae But God promises we will lack nothing in this life time if we believe that he overcame sin and death for us. HE wants us to live an abundant life now. For some reason we believe the false teaching that being a martyr is what God wants. But no where in scripture does it say that.

    • Pang William We know the promises of God... as He is so are we in this world. We know sin has been taken away. We know the old man is dead. But a pain is still a pain, a lack is still a lack, the suffering is still around. The question is why the pain is still here and I don't think simply by ignoring it is the answer. There must be something we have missed.

Being a martyr is not what God wants. The devil and mans blindness makes this grave injustice a fact of our Christian though. All the Prophets and all but two Disciples were martyrd and not wantingly but willingly so for they could not and would not deny our Lord Jesus. Their deaths, murders, were not and have not been in vain. They, too have helped build the Church and are greatly loved, praised and highly rewarded. The Lord Jesus is coming to avenge ALL their blood, His very Vesture will be dipped in it and He will ride in vengence to avenge! Our Brothers and Sisters blood cries out daily for vengence before His Throne and surely they will have it; their deaths have not been in vain.

Ask yourself concerning Adam & Eve, they walked in God's presence yet the enemy got through. We war not against flesh & blood but principalities & powers in high places. God is with us. We have choices always. God is there always. We choose or not. The sufferings of this present is not to compare to the eternal glory of God! We are constantly changing from glory to glory! When God is our choice, we trust that He is with us no matter what we face. Trials comes to help us to grow stronger in God. He allows things to happen cause He knows we have overcame! We are to keep our eyes on God always. Know that He has all in control. Amen.

I believe where we missed it is not that we don't believe but we fail to see we already have it. Our eyes are still on the pain, the lack, the problem... rather than on Christ! The answer is keep beholding Him!

2Co 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

I'm thinking (just my opinion) that those that truly have the Spirit of God indwelling them would have to try very hard to ignore the promptings and checks. But, God wants us to grow in grace and the knowledge of Christ, who we are, so in His loving mercy, He doesn't give up on us, but takes us little bit by little bit as much as we can absorb to show us truth. He wants victory for us that was given through Christ.
Why do we feel pain? Fear of not being taken care of, not being "good enough" because of the world's way......also pain arises when we in that fear refuse to let go of something.
We look at people often through our five senses, through human eyes and judge behavior as a condition of their salvation......God knows who is His and at what stage they are at in grace.
Sorry, didn't mean to wriite a book here.........just thinking and typing. :o)

John 13:19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.

John 14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

1 Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
All 3 of these passages shows that Gods plan of eternal life for his children was before he created
the universe. If you are connected to him he will reveal all things to you. You will know what do
in any given situation for he will foretell you about it and prepare you for it.

Brandon everything that has happened is according to Gods plan. Did you not read where I posted it? You are who you are because God created you that way. You sinned so that you would understand what it is. God over came it so that you did not have to. When you struggle that means you are not letting God but trying to do it yourself. He says he created us. Look at the universe and his creation how can you have doubt that he knows what he is doing and in charge? Our flesh suffers when we do not let the spirit of God work through us. Rest is what he says to do and let him take charge.

This is such a good question Pang. My husband, my daughter and her husband, have been praying for a man who was told he had about three weeks to live. He had cancer, and a lung problem, we prayed and prayed, rebuked, and cast uot the spirit of death, one night we were rebuking the evil one and i felt some thing hit my foot and rush past me, their little dog ran and hid brhind the couch. From that day the man has been healed. I believe the devil can still hinder us, yes we have all power over him but he can still hinder us if we let him. I know i will get a lot of flack on this, but we pray for a lot of people who are sick, and this is our experiance.

I do believe we miss it and I won't say it is our fault but His timing. We miss it because we are still sin conscious... we still see the pain, the lack rather than health and abundance. We know it yet we can't attend it. If we try, we will fall from Grace because it has become work and not faith. So the answer is... Still He to do it and not us. All we do is to keep believing but let it go, keep beholding Christ... and in time we'll be transformed from sin consciousness to Christ consciousness when the season is right. Hallelujah!
