Where do pride and lust come from?

Shall we let the Scripture tell us where pride and lust come from? First where do we find the word pride and lust in the Bible?

1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

But it only say that pride and lust are of the world and not of the God, it didn't say where they come from. Now, let us look at one more verse...

In Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

We all know it is about the devil tempting Eve in the garden... Now read verse 6 carefully... 1) she saw the tree was good for food, what does that tell you? It is pointing to "the lust of the flesh". 2) it was pleasant to the eyes... the lust of the eyes. 3) a tree to be desired to make one wise... the pride of life. Do you see the connection now?? If so, you'd agree with me that pride and lust come from that tree. What was that tree called? It was called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And you probably say... I know that! But let me ask you one more question, what did God said to Adam about that tree? ...

In Gen 2:17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

What do call that verse 17? I called it "the law". The first law from God to man. That was the one and only law and man just can't keep away from it but to commit. Therefore if you don't want pride and lust in your life, you must keep away the law. But since Adam failed, what makes you special? What makes you think you can keep the law? I guarantee you'll fail. So How?...

God said in Gen 2:9 ... out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Why God specifically mentioned the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden? He was hinting to you... go for that tree!! The only way you can get out of the law is by going to the tree of Life. I pray that the Spirit of wisdom and revelation is upon you to see it. Hear Him.
