Head and body

The fear of the LORD (the love for God) teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. (Prov 15:33)

Let no one cheat you of your reward (your inheritance, your salvation), taking delight in false humility (act humble) and worship of angels (such as pray to Mother Mary), intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head (Jesus Christ), from whom all the body (we are the body of Christ), nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments (by revelation in Holy Spirit), grows with the increase (in wisdom) that is from God. (Col 2:18-19)

Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations (we who are in Christ are not of this world) —"Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle," which all concern things which perish with the using (the senses of the flesh like hear, see, feel, taste and smell)—according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh. (Col 2:20-23) Let go all things of this world for they are fading away... Live not by the flesh but by the Spirit. Live not by sight but by faith. You may say, is easy said than done. Yes, it isn't easy, in fact it is impossible by yourself. Remember the Head and the body? We, the body can do nothing without the Head. Behold unto Jesus for He is the Head, He is to transform us into His wisdom, His humility and His honor. Hear Him!
