Lack of knowledge

Then God said to Solomon: "Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king—wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like." (2Ch 1:11-12)

God said My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. (Hos 4:6) The knowledge of what? Information? Technology? Education?... No, that's the knowledge of the world. But God is referring to... Grace - the knowledge of Christ. Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue. (2Pe 1:2-3) In Christ is all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Col 2:3) Seek Him first, for in Him is the wisdom and the knowledge, the riches and the honor and also the long life. You have a better deal than Solomon. Hear Him!
