Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. (1Pe 4:1-2)
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Rom 8:12-14) Reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin [to the flesh], but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord [in the Spirit]. (Rom 6:11) For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law [in the flesh] but under grace [in the Spirit]. (Rom 6:14) Even if you failed... by the grace of God there is now no condemnation. (Rom 8:1)
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom 8:31) Say "I am dead in the flesh, so I live only by the Spirit. I regard nothing in the flesh but all things by the Spirit. By the grace of God I am what I am... (1Co 15:10) the son of God in Christ". Amen!
