Little by little, our faith is made perfect

Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. (Job 5:17) Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. (Pro 12:1) He who ignores discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored. (Pro 13:18)

And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He punishes everyone He accepts as a son." Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? (Heb 12:5-7) ... God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. (Heb 12:10-11)

Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (Heb 12:1-3)

Little by little affliction, our faith is made perfect by His grace. Though we were taught, by His stripes you are healed, through His poverty you are rich. Yet you feel the pain, yet your pocket is empty... do not lose heart but continue to fix your eyes on Him and say to yourself everyday... "In Christ I am healed", "In Christ I am rich". Look not of the flesh but of the Spirit, act not by sight but by faith. There is no other way, but endure and continue to believe in Him and see yourself healed, see yourself rich. Little by little, our flesh shall give in to the Spirit and all shall come to pass. Hear Him!
