Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. (Jas 1:12-16)
How's that a man can endure temptation? For all temptation comes by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. (1Jn 2:16) For those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1Ti 6:9-10) But whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. (1Jn 3:9) Your spirit man cannot sin but your flesh does. Not that you desire sin but if your flesh lusted... remember what Apostle Paul said: "Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me." (Rom 7:20) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2Co 5:17) There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Rom 8:1) I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Gal 5:16)
What is walk in the Spirit? When your thinking are the same as what Christ said you are, you are walking in the Spirit, you are walking by faith and not by sight. How to walk in the Spirit? Not by your might but by beholding Jesus for only by Him you can be set free! Hear Him!
