The third day

The Old Testament prophecy of the third day:
Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth. (Hos 6:1-3)

Jesus own prophecy of the third day:
[1] From that time on Jesus began to explain to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. (Mat 16:21) [2] "We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn Him to death and will turn Him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day He will be raised to life!" (Mat 20:18-19) [3] "The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again." (Luk 24:7) [4] He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day. (Luk 24:46) and many more...

Now... at dawn on the third day: The Wedding Day
But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2Pe 3:8) Two thousand years have come and passed since the day Christ resurrected, therefore now it is after the two days, indeed at dawn on the third day. Just like Christ was resurrected at dawn on the third day so we shall be also in Christ. It is about to happen now, It is the day we're all been looking forward to... our wedding day. On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee (at great zeal in accomplishment)... (John 2:1). This is the day of great joy, a day of turning water into wine, a day of heaven on earth, a day that never end. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready. (Rev 19:7) Behold the Bridegroom, He who makes your love completed. Hear Him!
