The mystery of His will

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. (Mat 6:9-10) Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done." (Mat 26:42)

So what is the will of God? Jesus said, 'Here I am—it is written about Me in the scroll— I have come to do Your will, O God.'" (Heb 10:7) And He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ. (Eph 1:9 NIV) This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1Jn 5:14) The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. (1Jn 2:17) "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Jesus came to do the Father's will which He purposed in Christ, anything we ask according to His will (in Christ) be done, any man who does His will (believes in Christ) lives forever, anyone who believes in Christ shall be called the son of God. That is the mystery of His will... to bring us back to Him through Christ. Hear Him!
